I am responsible for editing English language contributions to Studia Islamika, an international, peer-reviewed academic journal based in Jakarta, Indonesia. The journal is produced by the Center for the Study of Islam and Society (PPIM), an autonomous research institute at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Studia Islamika specialises in Indonesian and Southeast Asian Islamic studies and is published in Indonesian, Arabic and English. My role involves assisting the author/s in improving the written expression and grammar in the English language translations of their research articles.

“The Center for the Study of Islam and Society (PPIM) is an autonomous research institute within the Jakarta Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University. Initially, the institute was founded on April 1, 1995 with the aim of inviting a number of scholars from various disciplines and backgrounds to conduct research, study, training and information dissemination activities specifically on Indonesian Islam and Southeast Asian Islam in general. Currently PPIM is a university-based strategic study institution with experience in religious studies and social issues with extensive publications and networks, both at home and abroad.”
“Now, stepping into its twentieth year, PPIM focuses on conducting strategic studies on religious life and education to influence policies and changes in society in Indonesia. In addition, PPIM remains committed to developing and disseminating the wealth of Indonesian Islamic traditions at various levels to enrich the values of life and humanity in a wider context.”
