Australia-China Cyber Relations

I am currently involved as a research assistant in an exploration of the trajectory, trends and structure of cyber relations and internet governance in and between Australia and China. My particular involvement in this project focuses on the subject through an international relations lens. Initial directions in this research project include:

• The history and evolution of internet governance in Australia
• Australia’s International Cyber Engagement Strategy: Its content; the industry, political and public reception and commentary; its relationship to Australian foreign policy and Australia’s international perspective.
• Australia’s regional engagement in cyber security initiatives
